I received a call this evening from Jimmy Stewart and he told me that Trini Cuevas' condition has taken a turn for the worse. Trini's wife is thinking that the best that can be done for him is to place him in a hospice so that he can receive the care he needs.
I am not sure yet how far his condition has deteriorated but Jimmy and Basil Atad are within a few hours drive of Trini and will try to find out more.
Our prayers go out to Trini and his family in this difficult time.

I'm not sure whether Trini has VA compensation or medical benefits or even if he is in the VA system. Is there anyone near Alhambra, California that can check on Trini and see if there is anything we can do to help Trini and his wife, Cynthia, to get the help and benefits that are due him through the VA? The local service organizations might be able to speed the benefits applications up for Trini since his condition is rapidly deteriorating. If you need Trini's address and phone number email me at marinehelicopters@lycos.com or Paul Thomas at pauljthomas@cox.net. del

To my knowledge Trini was not in the system. At this point it is probably too late.
We were advised this morning that he had passed away .
No word on arrangements. Mario
