Because of the high incidence of the effects of the war and the diseases related to Agent Orange among our squadronmates, HMM-365 will host informal workshops/discussions during the 2008 reunion at our squadron hosting room. The times of these workshops have not yet set but will be posted on this forum at a later time.
The purpose of the workshops to discuss the experiences of squadronmates who have been affected by PTSD and/or Agent Orange, and to share the processes taken to receive just compensation from the VA or Social Security Administration. Veterans from other squadrons may attend our workshops on invitation only.

Mariano Aguirre will be facilitating the PTSD and VA benefits workshop.
del Rosario will be facilitating the Agent Orange Workshop.
These workshops are informal and we ask all present to participate in the discussion. The purpose of these workshops are to pass on information about the effects of the war and the help and benefits that are available through various governmental agencies and veterans service organizations.
These workshops are open to anyone attending the 2008 USMCCHA (Popasmoke) reunion. These workshops will be held at the HMM-365 Vietnam hospitality room.

Got a call from Popasmoke a few days ago. It seems that our offer to extend helpful information about PTSD and Agent Orange to Marines in other squadrons somehow infringes on the proprietory control of the reunion organizers.
We will continue to hold our workshops for our squadron at our squadron hospitality room. Future communications with Popasmoke will be limited to matters that Popasmoke organizers have promulgated as actions not originated by their committee are being construed as undermining their authority.
