Hello, My brother just emailed this site to me and I find it very interesting. My father was Edward F. Mcintyre and he passed away on April 17, 1982. I was just wondering if anybody remembered him and could share any stories with me and my family. We have alot of pictures of him in Da Nang and others as well. Thank you for putting this website together and I look forward hearing from you. Cheryl (McIntyre) Krish

Cheryl, I think that of all the Leaders we had in HMM 365, your dad or Top Mcintyre as we called him, is not only remembered by all of us who were young Marines in those days, but we looked up to him as the one person who knew the answer to any question or problem we encountered. I know that in my world, Top Mac was the guy who just seemed to be the authorityon aircraft maintenance. I personnally looked up to him as a father figure and our hero. I had the oportunity to give a speech a few years back to a squadron of Marines and I was now a retired Maint Chief and I told the Marines that I learned to be a leader from MSGT McIntyre because he always had the answer and I felt that that was his legacy and it became my personal mission to know the answer when my Marines came in to ask me something. HMM365 was the best squadron in the Marine Corps in 1965 under his leadership. My squadron was selected as best squadron in 1982. I retired a very successful MSGT also, but I never forgot the Top and what he taught us. He was a great leader.
My best to your entire family and please accept my long delayed condolences.
