Bill Bloomfield, that troublemaker, found out that there is a flyable UH-34D in Oregon. The owner is about to donate it to an air museum but first it has to get to where the museum is.
Our old brains had started to mesh into gear and we had a thought - are there any pilots in the Squadron who kept their helicopter rating, and, if so, would you be interested in flying the old UH-34D?
Also, are there any old mechs and twidgets in the Squadron who would or can contribute any knowledge, skill, time, or labor to get the old bird healthy and flying?
If this is of any interest to you contact me or Bloomfield.

Well, our seach for an A&P who can sign off on the H-34 has paid off. I just talked to Mike Comola and he's da man.
Mike Layman says that he'd look it over if we could get the exact location of that H-34 here in Portland.
Jimmy Stewart says that if the H-34 has to be trucked then he could drive it since he has his Class A CDL and a current medical examiner's card.
Not only that, there's room at Comola's farm in Northern California if it needs to be housed and worked on. Hey, Bloomfield, what do you think of all that?
