Del, or others,
Forgive my ignorance regarding 365, but what is the nickname of your squadron?

HMM-365 in Vietnam was known by at least 3 unofficial nicknames.
Koler's Klowns - so named after our commanding officer, LtCol Joe Koler, Jr. who assembled a rag tag group of mavericks and transformed them into a professional and effective fighting unit.
The Flying Circus - the assemblage of Klowns performing spectacular feats of airmanship in combat. The defining 'Magnificent" prefacing Flying Circus was added by a group of US Army advisors who witnessed the incredible shooting skills of the UH-34D gunships.
The Stingers - a name that we adopted after we began flying UH-34Ds that "sting" - i.e., helicopters armed with 2.75-inch rocket pods, forward firing fixed aimed machine guns, and 3 additional swivel mounted manually aimed/controlled M-60s.
Hope that helps.
